Matrix. A shared major is a university degree program that has similar academic preparation to one or more
degree programs at other Arizona public universities as listed on the Common Course Matrices. For
appropriate course selection, students should consult with an advisor.

 A question was raised by the A&R Council regarding course options available under the Quantitative Methods
requirement Are there other acceptable options beyond the courses listed here? According to the Major Guides for
Business available on aztransfer.com, MAT220/ 221 and MAT230/231 are also acceptable.

Course changes were made to the Business Electives area per a previous request from the IC
MKT271 and SBU200 courses have been added as options to the business electives area and CIS163AA has been
removed as an option. Per the chair, the 163AA course is no longer taken by ABUS students. The rationale for the
additions is that along with other business electives, students can try out a major before they commit to a major when
applying to a university business school.

This item has been routed to the Business instructional council for review and comment; at this time the council is still
reviewing options for content changes to the degree. Based on the pending changes for the degree final action on this will
be held until the April DCC Meeting.
