Re: 2013 Final Exam Schedule
Dear Parent/Guardian:
On Tuesday, June 10th and Wednesday, June 11th, final exams will begin for seniors only. This is
a full day for underclassmen; seniors may elect to come only during their exam periods but will
be responsible for their own transportation. However, bus transportation will be available on the
10th and 11that the normal times for a regular school day.
Early dismissal days for underclassmen exams and remaining senior exams will occur on
Thursday, June 12th through Tuesday June 17th. Make-up exams must be scheduled with the
individual teacher and completed by Wednesday, June 18th.
The Media Center will be open so that students who take the bus will be able to study before
and/or after their scheduled exams. Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria from 9:35 AM to
9:45 AM. Students who elect to come in only for an exam period must provide their own
transportation. Bus service will be provided each morning at the regular time and at 11:50 AM
for departure.

SENIORS –GRADUATION PRACTICE – NOLAN FIELD 10AM – 11:30AM
GRADUATION 6 PM - Nolan Field - Seniors report to field by 5:30 pm.
Students must remain in their classroom for the entire examination period and should bring
appropriate materials to read if they finish their exam prior to the end of the period. Students
need be present in school only when they have an exam scheduled. Exemptions from final
exams are available only for grade 12 students who have maintained an average of 90 or above
for all full year (1 credit) courses, and for one semester (.5 credit) classes with the exception of
science. Students with an unexcused absence from an exam are not entitled to make it up. A
parent or guardian must call in to report a student absence and the reason. Students who miss an
exam must see teachers on their first day back to arrange for make-up exams.
Important, please note that it is the sole responsibility of the individual student to ensure all
his/her exams are scheduled and completed. Students who arrive late will take the exam
during the assigned period; the exam will not be re-scheduled.
During the exam period, parents can assist us by checking the exam schedule and ensuring
students are present for their scheduled exams.
We also ask for your cooperation in:
 Not asking that students be dismissed early from an exam;
 Not calling in to leave a message for a student, except in an emergency;
 Ensuring your child arrives on time;
 Scheduling appointments after noon on exam days.
