John Wayne as Genghis Khan in “THEY MADE HISTORY” (1999-2005) by Elizabeth and Iftikhar Dadi On Thursday, September 27th, Iftikhar Dadi and Elizabeth Dadi will share their work with the Alfred community in Nevins Theatre at 4:30 pm. The Dadis make art collaboratively that addresses both the personal and political. Work such as “Clash of Civilizations: The West and the Rest,” exhibited at the National Gallery of Art, Pakistan (2007), DETOX, a traveling media exhibition in Norway and Sweden, (2004-05), and the Liverpool Biennial, UK (2002), asks us to question the fundamental ways we conceive global culture and modernity. They have also exhibited work at Admit One Gallery, Chelsea, New York City, the Walker Art Center, Minnesota, the Portland Art Museum, Oregon, and the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris. They live in Ithaca, NY.
