***New Credit through independent study courses using the PLATO Curriculum will be open to Iberia Parish
public school students only. Tuition fee is waived. Orientation for independent new credit courses will be
Tuesday, May 27th at 7:30am. Finals for independent new credit courses will be Thursday, July 10th at 7:30am.
PLATO Classes for repeat credit begin on Tuesday, May 27th and continue through Thursday, July 10th. Classes
are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:30am to 12:30pm. All course work and exams must be
completed by Thursday, July 10th at 12:30pm. All courses will be a computer base course using the PLATO
Curriculum. All major academic courses in English, math, science, and social studies will be offered.
The only exception will be math courses on a face to face basis with the required minimum number of students
(Monday through Friday, May 27th to June 27th from 7:30am to 12:30pm).
There will be no classes Friday, July 4th.
Note: Cash or money orders payable in full to NISH will be accepted only. There will be no refunds after Friday, May30th.

Dear Student and Parent:
Welcome to the 2014 Iberia Parish School Secondary Summer School. Since the summer school program must
support itself, many of the services provided during the regular year are unavailable in the summer. Be sure you
have checked off all applicable services on your registration form. Contact me for any questions concerning
special services.
Summer school classes using the PLATO Curriculum will begin on Tuesday, May 27th at 7:30am and continue
through Thursday, July 10th. Classes are held Tuesday through Thursday and begin at 7:30am and end at
12:30pm. Math classes on a face to face basis will begin Tuesday, May 27th at 7:30am and continue through
Friday, June 30th Monday through Friday, from 7:30am to 12:30pm.
There will be no classes on Thursday, July 4th.
Students must provide their own transportation.
All regulations governing the behavior of students and dress code during the regular school session will be held in
effect. All students and parents must sign below that they have received a copy and understand the summer school
