About Our Programs
Fundamentals of Tracheostomy Care
(offered beginning April 2013)
The goal of this full-day course is to provide home health care providers with up-to-date knowledge and skills regarding
community-based tracheostomy care of children and adults who are medically fragile.
This course will involve a combination of didactic, skills stations, and scenario-based learning.
Prerequisites: (1) RN, RPN, RRT, GRT, or PSW and (2) completion of pre-course reading.
Management of Ventilation for Patients in the Community
(offered beginning April 2013)
The goal of this full-day course is to provide home health care providers with up-to-date knowledge and skills regarding
community-based invasive and non-invasive ventilatory support of children and adults who are medically fragile and
technology dependent.
This course will involve a combination of didactic, skills stations, and scenario-based learning.
Prerequisites: (1) RN, RPN, RRT, or GRT, (2) Completion of the “Fundamentals of Tracheostomy Care and Ventilation for
Patients in the Community course” or “Tracheostomy Care Workshop” within the past two years, and (3) completion of
pre-course reading.

For any withdrawal less than three weeks in advance of the course, a $75.00 administrative
fee will be deducted from your registration fee.
Substitutions are welcome.
Requests for transfer to an alternate course date can be made in advance of the course. One
transfer is permitted with an administrative fee ($50) payable at time of transfer.
No refunds or transfers will be given for “no shows”.
