Tracheostomy Care and Ventilation for Patients in the Community About Our Programs Fundamentals of Tracheostomy Care (offered beginning April 2013) The goal of this full-day course is to provide home health care providers with up-to-date knowledge and skills regarding community-based tracheostomy care of children and adults who are medically fragile. This course will involve a combination of didactic, skills stations, and scenario-based learning. Prerequisites: (1) RN, RPN, RRT, GRT, or PSW and (2) completion of pre-course reading. This course will involve a combination of didactic, skills stations, and scenario-based learning. Prerequisites: (1) RN, RPN, RRT, or GRT, (2) Completion of the “Fundamentals of Tracheostomy Care and Ventilation for Patients in the Community course” or “Tracheostomy Care Workshop” within the past two years, and (3) completion of pre-course reading.
