FETAC Level 6 Supervision in Childcare Certificate
Wicklow County Childcare Committee has invited the NCNA to deliver the 4 core modules of the
Fetac Level 6 Supervision in Childcare Certificate: Supervision in Childcare, Social and Legal
Issues in Childcare, Child Development and Early Childhood Programmes.
Please note that the full Certificate requires that the 4 mandatory modules plus 1 elective module
be completed.
The elective can be made up from individual Level 6 options, such as Communications, OR a
combination of specific Level 5 modules which are given ½ or ¼ module value, including (but not
limited to) the following, which all have ½ value:
ECDL, Occupational First Aid, Start your own Business, School Age Childcare and Integrating
Children with Additional Needs. A more extensive list is available on www.fetac.ie
The 4 core modules will be delivered between September and December (dates on page 3). The
tutors assigned to the programme have excellent childcare, teaching and management
experience.
Price per module: €200
(The cost is subsidised by the Wicklow County Childcare Committee)

Please note that if numbers applying exceed the places available, a selection process will
apply.
To book for the modules please complete the application form and send it, together with
copies of all your Childcare Qualifications, and a cheque or postal order for €200 as a
deposit, to NCNA, Unit 12c Bluebell Business Park, Old Naas Road, Bluebell, Dublin 12,
BY Friday May 21st.
If accepted, the Balance of Payment is due by Friday July 30 th.
