EWMS’s 1st Annual Zombie Fun Run On Your Mark… EWMS Associated Student Body is excited to announce the 1st annual Zombie Fun Run fundraiser on our campus. The run will occur on October 26th, 2015 during your student’s scheduled P.E. class. What is a Zombie Fun Run, you ask? It is a Halloween themed Jog-a-thon with a live DJ, inflatable obstacles, and spooky decorations and prizes. As a community, we want to see the promotion of a healthy and safe environment through a fundraiser that is student led. 100% of the profits donated through the Zombie Fun Run will go back to your students in the form of student activities, and culture building events. We need your help! Our goal this year is to raise $30,000. ASB would like to make the Zombie Fun Run the ONLY significant ASB fundraiser of the year and to have 100% student body participation. If each student raised $50, Earl Warren Middle School would surpass our target fundraising goal, which will directly support all student body activities including the following events & programs: o Friendship Week o Guest Speakers o Canned Food Drive & Toy Drive o Assemblies o Spirit days o EWMS Talent Show o Spring Spirit event o Red Ribbon Week o Spirit apparel o Student parties and After School Activities o Lunchtime activities o 8th Grade Promotion Get Set… Please take a few minutes to get familiar with a few materials your student may need for October 26th. o Zombie Attire! ASB encourages students to dress up in their best Zombie attire o Comfy Shoes! Please make sure your student is appropriately dressed to run during the event. Students will not be dressing out for this event. All dress code rules apply. o We do have water fountains, although feel free to send your student with extra water should they need it. Go! o o o o Step 1. Use folded pledge forms from Zombie Packet. Step 2. Invite family and relatives, co-workers and friends to donate a set amount. Step 3. Have your student turn in the completed pledge forms and checks (when applicable made out to EWMS) in the sealed envelope on turn in days: o Wednesday 10/14, and Wednesday 10/21 o In front of the school. Make sure to double check the amount of donations in each envelope and sign the completed pledge form. o TIPS: Please collect all donations up front to make our accounting and data entry processes go smoothly. Wednesday, October 28th: LAST DAY TO TURN IN MONEY FOR RAFFLE TICKETS. Please return pledges in the envelope provided from your sponsors that pledged per lap. Friday, October 30th: RAFFLE! Raffling off top prizes including iPad Minis, GoPro’s Hero 3+, and a Hover Scooter Board PRIZES: Students can reach up to 4 Fundraising levels for their efforts.
