YELLOW JACKET ART CLUB - Wednesday, January 27th – room E123 –
Immediately after school! We will be handing out the YELLOW JACKET ART
CLUB T-shirts to those that purchased one!!!!! And……..Come join in the fun of
making “HARRY POTTER WANDS” and/or creating that “ONE OF A KIND
VALENTINE” card(s) for that special person(s)!
Any sophomore, junior, or senior interested in attending the CIAA College
Education Day on February 24th should see Mrs. Medley or Mrs. Brown for
more info. The deadline to turn in permission forms is February 5th.
Attention Baseball Players:
Tryouts will start on Feb. 1st-You must have a current physical on file or with
you by Feb. 1st to participate.
We will also continue to work out through January:
Tuesdays and Thursday from 3:45-5:15ish
Bring clothes to be both inside and outside as we will continue to lift and
condition!
FBLA will meet Thursday, January 28th immediately after school in Mrs. T’s
room, C205. All members attending Districts on Saturday, January 30th need to
attend!
Boys Lacrosse preseason meeting January 21st at 4:00 in the commons.
Girls Lacrosse try-outs begin Monday, January 25 at 5:30 in the stadium.
Any male student interested in trying out for Boys Tennis needs to have a
physical and parent permission form on file with the trainer or bring to tryouts.
See you at the FMHS Tennis courts February 1, 2016 at 4:00pm.
FCA's final club picture day is this Tuesday! Be in the gym at 8:00 to be a part
of the yearbook picture!
International Club will meet at 5:00 on Tuesday, January 26, at Fuji Japanese
Steak House on Rivergate Pkwy., Charlotte.
Yellow jacket book club meets Monday JANUARY 25 after school in the media
center. Interested students welcomed to visit.
Track first day of official practice begins Feb 8 at 4pm. Meet in the stadium.
*Must have a valid physical on file *You must be at practice on Feb 8 to be on
the team (winter athletes excluded)
Boys Golf tryouts will begin on Monday Feb. 1 at Tega Cay Golf Club from 4:005:30.
Parent Meeting for Boys Golf team members will be held Monday Feb. 8 at Tega
Cay Golf Club at 6:00.
Key Club has a very important meeting on Thurs, Jan. 28th in room R108. Please
be there - we will be planning the carnations for Valentine's Day and we have a
speaker!
Attention Junior Class Girls! If you are interested in earning scholarship
money pay attention to this announcement! Fort Mill High School will be hosting
the Distinguished Young Women’s program in April of this year! The
information session will be on January 25 at 7 pm in the commons. If you have
any questions or are unavailable to attend the meeting, please see Mrs. Cooper
in B201 or Ms. Dukes in the dance room.
Juniors or seniors interested in attending the CIAA Education Day on Feb.
24th, 2016 should see Mrs. Medley (B204) or Mrs. Brown (F113) for more
information.
Anime Club meetings for January
Meeting – Friday, January 29th in Mr. Howell’s room G105
Softball
Tuesday, January 26th 4pm conditioning on field
Wednesday, January 27th 6pm Weightlifting
Softball Tryouts begin Monday February 1st 4pm on softball field. Attendance
is MANDATORY to be considered for the team. Must have completed 20152016 physical form in hand or on file to participate. Separate tryouts will be
held for those playing on a winter sports team after the winter sport is over.
FOOTBALL
After School weight training from 3:45 till 5:00pm. See Coach Susi with
questions.
Seniors: If you are in need of a midyear transcript for college applications,
please email your counselor the college(s) where it needs to be sent. Not all
applications require a midyear transcript. Please read your application
instructions or contact the college to verify! If it is a Common App school, we
will send it automatically!
Scholarships: Seniors, the Foundation for Fort Mill Schools has opened up their
applications for scholarships! These scholarships are only available for student
at Fort Mill!! Please take advantage of these great opportunities! These
scholarships can be found under the “Scholarship List” on Family Connection.

Sophomores and Juniors: Update from College Board - PSAT scores will be
delayed. Expect PSAT scores to be delivered via mail in early February. Please
visit studentscores.collegeboard.org and create an account. You can view scores
online now!
Ping Pong Club meets every Tuesday at 3:40-5:10 in C109. Players of all skill
levels welcome.
Chess Club is meeting every Monday from 3:40 to 4:30 in Mr. Lentz's room
