Greeting All! February flew by! Thanks to everyone who participated in the Book Fair. We made over $1,000.00 - that is $500.00 in free educational materials for the school. That is AWESOME!! There are a few items left over for sale in the front foyer- see Ronnie or Stacey if you are interested in purchasing any of the items. Special thanks to the Book Fair Day volunteers, Liz and Celia Basso, Riley Close, Caroline and Gabriella Crean and Jenna Marteka! Thanks to everyone who made February Vacation such a blast! The teachers really busted their chops and the kids loved it. Be sure to check out the pictures. Beach Day was hilarious. Miranda thought she was supposed to do the activities outside in her bathing suit. Unfortunately Eric set her straight. Cooking Day was a huge success thanks to our line cooks. Star Wars Day will certainly go down in history as a favorite. My favorite battle was Yoda (me) vs. Darth Vader (Eric)! He was a better swordsman but my Yoda babble wore him to the point where he jabbed himself with his light saber. R.J. Stanford was hands down best at battle. He dominated even the older kids who rendered helpless by laughter. We have awesome video footage of re-enactment scenes that are priceless. Watch the main door for show times next week! There are two half days for the public schools on Tuesday, March 24th and Thursday the 26th for parent teacher conferences. If your child attends the after school session you are automatically signed up to come those days. If you do not need us on those days, please let us know this week. **UPCOMING DEADLINE** Please note that our Open House is on Wednesday, March 11th. Please make sure that your registration packet for next year is in by Friday, March 6th. Please turn in your summer requests with your packet, and your registration fee. April vacation sign up is out in the foyer. The schedule of events will be impacted by the numbers for attendance. So please let us know your plans. Please note that April Vacation starts on Thursday April 9th. Preschool sessions will not run on Thursday April 9th (teacher workshops) and Friday April 10th (Good Friday). **OUTDOORS** Please know that we go outside everyday that we can. It is muddy so please do not forget to send in boots. Also be sure that you have an extra se1 of clothes for preschool and Kindergarten. They tend to wobble more and land on the wet ground. Congrats to the Star Wars trivia challenge winners (The Battit family, The Bochan Family, and The Marchi Family) they are BIG STAR WARS NERDS. They got all of the answers right on the Star Wars trivia challenge. For being such devoted fans they each won $10.00 off of their first April bill!! The force is with them! Check your closets!! We are on the look out for clothes to boost our dress up areas. We love sequin dresses, high heels, ties, jewelry and scarves If you clean out your closets please keep us in mind. The Early Childhood Education Council is considering topics and times for parent trainings. So far folks have requested workshops on: # 1. Milestones for young children (3 and up) #2. Discipline tactics #3. What rights and expectations should parents have for their children's education in East Hampton? Feedback so far indicates the best time is early weeknights with childcare and food. Your input on this would be greatly appreciated. **Conferences** 4 year old preschool conferences are being scheduled so please Mrs. Joyce to schedule a time. Please know that conferences are available by request for all other sessions. Just let us know if you are interested in one. How are we doing? Please give us feedback on our programs and operations. We are constantly looking at ways to improve our services. Thanks and have a great month! Ronnie
