Consequences Credit Students must complete all required assessment to be able to be rated for a subject for that semester. 1. An assessment item that is handed in late without an extension of time will be assessed and commented on so as to provide help and guidance to the student. However, credit will not be given towards a level of achievement. 2. Work completed by the student before the due date (i.e. assessment monitoring submitted to the teacher or work seen by the teacher during class time) will be assessed and credited towards a level of achievement. 3. Any subject where a student does not complete all assessment will have “Not rated” for achievement on the school report. Students will be given the option of completing the work over the vacation period and if the assessment is completed then this situation will be treated as assessment that is late without an extension of time (See point 1 above). 4. The Special Provisions Policy outlines the process for any student who needs to make a variation from the normal expectations. Discretion for individual cases rests with the Principal. Progression o Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 may not be given permission to proceed with elective courses for the following year if there is previous non-completed work. o Progression will be at the discretion of the Principal and Deputy Principals.
