Het is een wat vreemde familie, met mislukte mannen, manische huisvrouwen en getroebleerde tieners. In het verhaal worden vader Stefaan, moeder Mieke en dochter Sarah gevolgd. Het wordt al snel duidelijk dat Stefaan bezig is zijn eigen ondergang te bewerkstelligen en het is vooral Sarah die achtervolgd wordt door de neerslachtigheid van haar familie. In Amerika, waar ze naartoe reist na de dood van haar vader, probeert ze zich hieraan te ontworstelen. DUT F DESME De Smet, Marian. Rotmoevie. De Nederlandse Eppo (ik-figuur) is al liftend op reis naar het zuiden. Onderweg ontmoet hij Tabby, een Vlaams meisje van 18. Tabby neemt Eppo mee in haar oude Volkswagen Golf. Al snel blijkt dat Eppo en Tabby met nogal wat problemen worstelen. Aanvankelijk proberen ze die voor elkaar te verbergen, maar dit lukt steeds minder goed naarmate hun reis vordert. DUT F GODIJ Godijn, Wouter. Hoe ik een beroemde Nederlander werd : roman. Een schrijver wil een ontroerende roman schrijven, maar ook een die waarschuwt voor fascisme in de hedendaagse politiek. Vlak voor zijn dood in de jaren tachtig van de vorige eeuw gaf de grootvader van Stefan Hertmans zijn kleinzoon een paar volgeschreven oude cahiers. Jarenlang durfde Hertmans de schriften niet te openen – tot hij het wél deed en onvermoede geheimen vond. De zaak rond Britt raakt Lois bijzonder, omdat Britt net als Lois is opgegroeid zonder vader. Lois bijt zich vast in aanvankelijk vage sporen. Zij schrikt, omdat haar vader haar streng opvoedt en het zeker niet goed zou vinden dat zij bij een zwarte jongen moet logeren. Op vlotte wijze wordt het verhaal verteld van de 16-jarige exbajesklant Maikel die worstelt met zijn criminele verleden, met zijn alcoholistische moeder en met Gerard, haar nieuwe, gewelddadige vriend. Maikel weet niet meer bij wie hij zijn loyaliteit moet leggen, maar als Gerard in zijn drift zijn moeder weer eens slaat, knapt er iets bij hem. Na te zijn weggevlucht, ontmoet hij zijn oude bendeleden, die hem prompt bedreigen. Maikel lijkt geen kant meer op te kunnen. DUT YA F TEGEN Tegenbosch, Buddy. Poker face : Ik steel, lieg en bedrieg.
