Caherconlish
This is the library. We can get lots of
books to read there.
This is the Credit Union. People save
their money there.
This is our church. People go mass and say their prayers
in the church. Fr. Roy is our priest.
This is Ryan’s shop. We go to the shop
to buy our groceries.
This is the hairdressers. We go there to
get our hair cut when it gets too long.
The post office and the butchers are beside each other.
We go to the post office to post our letters and to buy
stamps. We buy our meat in the butchers.
This is Sammy’s. Sammy’s is a Chinese
restaurant, they make lovely food.
This is the Veterinary Clinic. People bring their
pets and animals there when they are sick.
This is the petrol station. We go here
to get petrol and groceries.
This is the Diner. The Diner is a
restaurant too.
This is the Millenium Centre. Lots of
clubs meet in the centre.
The playground is right beside The Millennium
Centre. Children have lots of fun there.
This is Doctor Margaret’s surgery. People go
there when they are feeling ill.
After visiting Doctor Margaret we go to the
Chemist to get medicine to help us to get better.
This is the Garda Station. The Gardaí help to
keep everyone safe and stop crimes happening.
Caherconlish is a village where lots of people
work and live. We can help to keep our village
special and a great place to live.
