& operational convenience and to create ability to access capital
markets.

Public issue proposed during 2007-2008:
 Government approved creation of DILL to have an ability to
access capital markets.
 DILL planned for an Initial Public Offer (IPO), in which GoAP
to divest part of their Shareholding (i.e Approx 10% of the total
holding of Company) to mobilize approximately Rs.1500 to
Rs.2000 Crores.
 Due to the unfavorable market conditions, the Company has kept
the process of accessing capital markets on hold.
Rajiv Swagruha – Unique Housing
• “A Demand driven, Self financed, innovative first of its kind,
an initiative by any state Government for filling the gap of
Housing – adequate affordable housing for moderate income
group”
Rajiv Swagruha - Objective
“Every person with moderate income, having no house of his / her
own, must have a house , i.e. an adequate and affordable, decent
house”.
27
Rajiv Swagruha -Philosophy
• “Affordable housing is not about box sized budget homes in far
flung places where there is no connectivity to work places and little
surrounding infrastructure”
• An affordable house does not mean a substandard house or any
compromise on space, quality or facilities as required by the
family.
28
Rajiv Swagruha -Philosophy
• Affordable Housing has to cut across all income segments of the
society and has to make economic sense – inclusive /
complementary housing
• Demand of affordable quality homes is in the price range of
Rs.15 – 30 lakhs. Rajiv Swagruha range Rs.6.30 – Rs.36 lakhs
• Swagruha - necessity for many, opportunity for few and growth
engine for Government - Inclusive growth
