• Land Use Changes
– Special Treatment Area (STA) designation dropped for Island
– New designation created for Island called “Waterfront
Commercial”
– “Harbor Facilities” designation changed to allow residential use of
boats
– “Light Commercial” uses along Moss Landing Road now include
possibility of upper story residential use
– North of Potrero STA changed to disallow medium-density
housing
– “Outdoor Recreation” designation changed to allow youth hostels
– New designation created for Elkhorn Slough called “State Scenic
Waterway”
