This department plays a key role in progress of biological sciences not in the university but all over the country by providing well trained manpower in the fields of microbiology, molecular biology and molecular genetics. Department have long list of collaborating institutes working together for the betterment of mankind. Humans are hosts to nearly 300 species of parasitic worms and over 70 species of protozoa, some derived from our primate ancestors and some acquired from the animals. One of the largest fields in parasitology is the medical parasitology 13-14 February, 2015 which deals with the parasites that infect Venue: Microbiology and humans, the diseases caused by them, Molecular Genetics Department University of the clinical picture and the response generated Punjab by humans against them. This workshop is concerned with the various methods of their diagnosis, treatment and finally their prevention & control. It also provides the opportunity to health sector people to interact, discuss and share their knowledge with people of natural sciences and other fields of sciences.
