Agnus Dei, bars 4-8: Strings (except v.1) legatissimo: use long bows, each player changing bow individually. Clarinet solo: Cadenzas are free, but should not be long. Variable character (according to the movements) and the length from 10 seconds to 2 minutes is recommended. The material of the movement itself should naturally dominate, but discreet use of any elements of the perfomance situation (other pieces of the concert, the local music tradition etc.) can be used as source of inspiration. In Credo, clearly differentiate the three "voices", esp. in the beginning using fidderent characterization for the voices (dynamics, articulation, timbre…). In Agnus Dei, bars 58-61, a short "cadenza-like" passage is welcome, where the bars 5960 are repeated with some variation, or the passage (and repeat) are expanded, keeping in any case the voice & instrument "duet" continuous and legato. Vibrato should be rather fast and not too wide (moving, even heart-rending) and not mechanically continuous, but conforming to the expression of the melodic line (the vibrato line is broken occasionally just to remind of this variability).
