What is a Kingdom • A Country governed/ruled by A KING • Soverign rulership and governing influence of the King over his territory (his domain) – impacting it with his will, purpose and intent – The nature of the King is produced in the Kingdom. Characteristics of a Kingdom • The key to Kingdom is TERRITORITY. • Kingdom’s Territory is call DOMAIN. KING-DOM-AIM – “KINGDOM” • The Glory of Kingdoms is TERRITORIAL INFLUENCE. • All Kingdoms EXPAND. • The First Kingdom in existence is THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. The message of the bible is about a king, a kingdom and his royal offspring. What is A King • King – Ruler of a nation or territory, inherited and ruler for life • Matthew 2:2 – Jesus Christ was born a King • Mark 1:14-15 – Came Preaching the Kingdom of God • Mark 15:32 – Died a King • I Tim 6:15 – Is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords • Jesus is Our King. A political appointee whose job is to represent and speak for his/her home government before the rulers of other countries. • II Corinthians 5:20 – We are Empowered • We Have Been Appointed!!! Goal of An Ambassador • Influence the Territory of his Kingdom Government – Chief Ambassador is Jesus Christ • Ephesians 6:20 What is a Principle • Principle – Law or rule, belief or idea that guides you; rule or belief governing one’s personal behavior • Biblical Principle – General Truth • The Bible communicates to us essentially in principles. Extract the truth from biblical contact and re-apply it. God’s Priority and Principles of the Kingdom • • Matthew 6:25-33 “Seek First His Kingdom” • Righteousness – Matthew 6:33 ~Seek God’s way to doing and being in Right Standing • • • Make the Kingdom of God – Priority. Seek – Pursue and Study Righteousness – Legal Term, be in Right Position. Align self with the Government. The Kingdom of God is more important than food, water, clothing, shelter, and every other basic human need. • Principles of Kings • Jesus came to the earth and reestablished the Kingdom • Only a king can establish a Kingdom • Jesus said His Kingdom not of this world • Central component of Kingdom • Only source of authority • Sovereignty is inherent. Principles of Lord • Every King is Lord (Lordship Makes King Unique) • King relates to Dominion, Lord relates to Domain • Dominion refers to King’s Authority • Domain refers to Territory • Lord is Owner. Confess Jesus Christ as Lord. • God is the Lord – Deuteronomy 6:4-5, Psalm 24:1-2 • Earth was given to Man to manage – Psalm 115:15-16 Principles of Lordship • King personally owns everything in his domain (Everything belongs to the King) • Use of anything in the Kingdom is a privilege • King can give or distribute anything to anyone in his kingdom because He owns it • Submissin to the King’s lordship means that we have no right to ourselves. Jesus Christ is Lord. Principles of Lordship (cont.) • Obedience is acknowledgement of Lordship • Thanksgiving is an acknowledgement of the king’s lordship • The word “Lord” can never be used with the word “but” Principles of Territory • Every Kingdom has territory • Gen 1:1 – In the Beginning God Created the heavens and the earth • The first thing God gave man was territory. • Let them have dominion. • By Prayer we invite God into our domain. • We have dominion authority. “Bind” lock up or prohibit, “Loose” Unlock or permit - Matthew 18:18 • Land. Domain, Territory – Isaiah 45:18 Principles of the Constitution • Heart of all Kingdoms is Constitution • King’s Covenant is his constitution. Scriptures say, “I, the Lord, say …” • Originates in the heart, mind and will of the king. Citizens have no input. • God set out the conditions. Genesis 1:26-28, Genesis 2:8, 15-17 • God’s contract with Abraham.
