1. Prepare 4 brands of tissue paper.

2. Prepare a basin of water.

Soak Tempo

the water for 5
minutes with a
stop watch.
4. Carefully
spread the tissue
paper on the
tripod.
5. Put the batteries on the Tempo tissue paper one by
one until it breaks. Record down the number of
batteries that the tissue paper can support.

Safety precautions
-Be careful not to spill the water out of the basin.
- Put a towel under the tripod to avoid the drop of batteries
to the bench.

From the table and the graph, we found that Tempo tissue
paper can support eighteen batteries. So Tempo tissue paper
is the toughest. Hence, our hypothesis is correct.
1. The time that the tissue paper soak in water was not exactly
five minutes.
2. The force to put the batteries onto the tissue paper may not
be the same.
1. We should pay attention to the time on the stop watch
and take the tissue paper up when it reaches five
minutes.
2. We should use the same force to put the batteries
carefully.
Tempo tissue paper is the toughest.
