Newly added Emergency features are;
 Emergency Power OFF
While holding down this key, turn the transceiver's
power OFF to activate Power OFF Emergency function.
This function enables the transceiver to transmit
emergency calls even though it appears to be
powered OFF.
When the function is activated, any key operation,
hanger action and Lone Worker function become
invalid, as well as the LED and speaker become the
same condition as being powered OFF.
On the other hand, the transceiver can transmit
emergency calls according to the emergency settings,
and Remote Monitor function is also operationable, if
it has been set.
The example above is that the foot switch has been assigned as
Emergency Power OFF key, and connected to D-Sub 25pin
connector in the rear of the radio.
 Send GPS data with Emergency signal
When a GPS receiver is connected to the radio in the
cab, GPS data will be sent with emergency signal to
the base station for exact location of the cab.
 Single Hand Operation becomes
Possible from a DTMF Microphone
DTMF microphone features are;
DTMF microphone direct ID entry
The direct inputs of channel number, list number, and
ID are available using the keypad depending on the
setting.
The selection of direct inputs are;
•The direct Individual/Talkgroup ID List number input.
•The direct Individual/Talkgroup ID input.
•The direct TX Status number input in the Digital-Status
List screen.
•The direct message number input in the Digital-SDM
List screen.
P0 ~ P3 keys operation from microphone keys
(Mobile only)
A / B/ C / D keys on the DTMF microphones can work
as programmable keys (P0 ~ P3)
For example, if you assign “Digital Button” function to
P0, “CH Up” function to P2, and “CH Down” function to
P3, you can make individual call, Group call, send SDM,
send status etc. by one hand.
 Protect Radios from Unauthorized use
 Auto Key Lock
Radios now can be automatically key-locked after the
set time period has passed without operation
during the normal mode.
You can assign "Lock" function to any key to use the
automatic key lock function.
This is useful for preventing unintended operations
and discouraging unauthorized use.
 Clone Read / Write Password
You can set a password of 16 characters to protect
the radio from unauthorized programming.
When a password is set, the radio cannot be read /
written without the correct password.
 Automatic Unique ID Allocation allows to
use one ICF file for many radios
Background:
IDAS Radio will not accept a call from the radio
whose Unit ID is same as own Unit ID
IDAS radio prohibits to receive a call from the radio
whose unit ID is same as own unit ID.
Before this Automatic Unique ID Allocation feature
is available, the unit ID in an ICF file must be alter
for each radio manually.
 For Global ID (Auto) – Conventional mode
When "Global(Auto)" is selected in Config-Unit ID, the
automatically-generated unit ID is used as a
transceiver-specific ID regardless of the selecting
channel.
- Set the number to be used for automatic
generation of the unit ID within the range of 0 to 5.
- Adding this dealer set ID number to the front of the
last 4 digits of the transceiver's serial number.
- If the last 4 digits of the transceiver's serial
number are 0000, the dealer set ID number is
increased by "1," and then put in front of the last 4
numbers.
 For Global ID (Auto) IDAS Trunking mode
When "Global(Auto)" is selected in IDAS-Trunk-Unit ID,
the automatically-generated unit ID is used as a
transceiver-specific ID regardless of the selecting
channel.
- Set the number to be used for automatic
generation of the unit ID from 0 or 1.
- Adding this dealer set ID number to the front of the
last 3 digits of the transceiver's serial number.
- If the last 3 digits of the transceiver's serial
number are 000, the dealer set ID number is
increased by "1," and then put in front of the last 3
numbers.
