BIOER Technology.
Established in 1995 as a R&D company
for Ferrotec, Japan. Ferrotec is the largest
supplier of Peltier elements for thermocyclers as well as the largest manufacturer
in the world.
BIOER launched their first Peltier based
thermocycler in 1998 and the first realtime instrument came in 2002. Today
BIOER is the # 4 largest supplier worldwide and ISO9001 and 13485 certified.

Well, it isn’t quality or performance that reduce
the price. The exact same “engine”, performance
and features are also found in higher priced
thermocyclers from well known brands. The
fact that BIOER is in China means low production
costs. But many competitors produces there too.
The close relationship with Ferrotec is one
explanation. Other reasons are that BIOER don’t
spend a lot of dollars on advertising, leaflets and
other expensive marketing campaigns. BIOER
doesn’t have head quarters in high priced areas
nor share holders to feed. They have a slim and
basic organisation to built top quality products.
