CHALLENGES OF ECOCITIES Climate mitigation and climate adaptation, Sustainable urbanization; Affordable housing; Integrated planning and funding availability; Capacity building for local solution and services; Citizen empowerment and participation; and Cross-cutting: gender issues, governance etc. APPROACH Applicable EcoCity solution depend on local conditions and need to be customized to socioeconomic realities; There is not one solution that fits all, but a number of possibilities that need to studied to find right solution; and Require knowledge of local traditions, perceptions, available materials and competent partners.
