21-24 “I can’t stand your religious meetings.
I’m fed up with your conferences and conventions.
I want nothing to do with your religion projects, your pretentious slogans and goals.
I’m sick of your fund-raising schemes, your public relations and image making.
I’ve had all I can take of your noisy ego-music.
When was the last time you sang to me?
Do you know what I want?
I want justice—oceans of it.
I want fairness—rivers of it.
That’s what I want. That’s all I want.”

Raising awareness about the impact of gun violence and mass incarceration
Reducing homicides in cities across the United States
Reducing incarceration rates and restoring compassion for and rights to the formerly incarcerated
Build healthy & safe communities with jobs & education
Mobilizing the faith community in service of this cause

President Obama has recently launched the “My
Brother’s Keeper Initiative”, a targeted effort to address the challenges of our Sons and Brothers facing tough odds. Our country faces a daily crisis of gun violence and mass incarceration. The loss of life will remain an imminent threat unless communities come together to speak out about the injustice.
We are compelled by our faith to Prophetically
Proclaim that the value of life & opportunity among our young men has greatly been diminished. For the next 90 days, we are calling ALL people of faith to have something to say about it!
