Mark File • A Mark is an Abbreviation Assigned to a Transportation Company • Also Called a SCAC – Standard Carrier Alpha Code • A Company Must be in the Mark File Before Stations can be Registered © 2007 Railinc. Route • Route Master Defines Revenue Routes • The File Contains – Route Descriptions: SCAC for Each Carrier in the Route and the Interchange Points – Identification Numbers: 5 Digit Number plus the Origin and Destination Carrier © 2007 Railinc.
