Dette var tilfelle fordi generator ble sendt til verksted for utbedring før den var kommet langt i forløpet på PF-kurven. Dersom forringelse prosess hadde fått fortsette, ville det blitt mer omfattende og kostbart og sette generator i stand igjen. Dersom prosessen får gå for langt, er det kanskje ikke mulig å oppnå ”god som ny” tilstand for Generator kom inn akkurat i rett tid.
