Review of the final draft Rules by Members’ Technical Committee 16 Mar 2013 External Review (two stages) 1st stage An External Advisory Group (EAG) will participate in review meetings with IACS throughout the final development phase, to be informed about the progress and interim results. The review meetings will be held in time for the Project Teams to consider and act on its advice before finalizing the draft requirements. 2nd stage The draft Rules will be made available for general review on the IACS website and in technical presentations. IACS will provide a feedback mechanism for additional comments from the industry and other stakeholders by correspondence within a deadline. 17 External Advisory Group (EAG) • The purpose of the External Advisory Group – to create a channel for information about progress and interim results from the harmonization project – to provide the harmonization project with ongoing advice from experts in modern tanker and bulk carrier structural design, construction and operation. The EAG will work during the 1st stage of external review until December 2011.
