CRM
What is CRM?
 Customer relationship management is a broadly recognized,
widely-implemented strategy for managing and nurturing a
company’s interactions with clients and sales prospects.
 It involves using technology to organize, automate, and
synchronize business processes—principally sales activities,
but also those for marketing, customer service, and technical
support.
 The overall goals are to find, attract, and win new clients,
nurture and retain those the company already has, entice
former clients back into the fold, and reduce the costs of
marketing and client service.
 Once simply a label for a category of software tools, today, it
generally denotes a company-wide business strategy
embracing all client-facing departments and even beyond.

CRM (2)
Why use CRM
Accountmanagers are expensive (salary, car, bonus)
Limited amount of client contacts
Relationship is with the account manager: not with
the company
You depend on the quality of the account and
sales people
Your (potential) client is in another country
CRM (3)
More productive:
 Helpdesk,
call center
 Direct
mail
 Internet and e-mail
 CRM software
CRM gives you
– More efficient and effective client contact with
(potential) clients
– More knowledge about decision making proces at
clients
