The intended outcome of the research camp is an open source library of refactored and harmonized mobile manipulation algorithms. We will provide • an inspiring working environment • travel grants to get to this inspiring working environment: 1250 € for European students, 2000 € for international students • the latest and coolest pieces of robot hardware in mobile manipulation, especially for education and research in mobile manipulation • a DVD with an initial set of software modules for mobile manipulation and 3D perception and modelling • a fast Internet access • two typical mobile manipulation tasks/scenarios We expect in return • a competitive solution to the given tasks either using the provided or self-developed algorithms for mobile manipulation demonstrated in two competitions on the last day of the research camp • critical feedback and revisions of the provided hardware and software Applications should include • CV with publication list • letters of reference from two different faculties and should be sent to: Thilo Zimmermann Gesellschaft für Produktionssysteme GPS Nobelstr. 12 D-70569 Stuttgart GERMANY email: zimmermann@gps-stuttgart.de Schedule June 15, 2010 July 15, 2010 Submission of applications Notification of acceptance or rejection Acknowledgement This activity is supported by the European Commission ICT Challenge 2 under grant agreement no. 231940 www.best-of-robotics.org KUKA – from Industrial to Service Robotics KUKA Roboter GmbH | Miquel López | 27.06.2014 | Page 23 www.kuka-robotics.com Explanation of robot hardware – introduction into group work – 2010-10-25 2 cooperating LWRs (with OROCOS and FRI) division into groups Care-o-Bot with KUKA LWR planning the group work KUKA – from Industrial to Service Robotics KUKA Roboter GmbH | Miquel López | 27.06.2014 | Page 24 www.kuka-robotics.com 5 youBots with open interfaces (open source controller via EtherCAT) detailed introduction Preliminary Results KUKA – from Industrial to Service Robotics KUKA Roboter GmbH | Miquel López | 27.06.2014 | Page 25 www.kuka-robotics.com Summary and conclusions KUKA Roboter is a well known supplier of Industrial Robots Innovation leadership is KUKA’s strategy for success Research & Predevelopment are very important for KUKA KUKA is working closely together with leading Universities worldwide; bilateral and in cooperative research projects KUKA offers interesting products for research & education lightweight robots with Fast Research Interface youBot … KUKA is always interested in getting to know highly qualified engineers like yourselves Internships (Practica, Bachelor & Master thesis) Full time positions KUKA – from Industrial to Service Robotics KUKA Roboter GmbH | Miquel López | 27.06.2014 | Page 26 www.kuka-robotics.com KUKA - DLR KUKA – from Industrial to Service Robotics KUKA Roboter GmbH | Miquel López | 27.06.2014 | Page 27 www.kuka-robotics.com Thank you for your attention!
