The innovative development process
in Moldova
Agricultural Sector in the Republic of Moldova is one of the
leading sectors in economy (8-10% of GDP).
Innovation activity in Agro industrial Complex of RM –
a management of complex natural and economic systems,
process of new technologies, chemical and biological agents
developments.
Innovations in agro industrial complex - implementation
of research and development in the form of new varieties,
breeds and species of animals and poultry, new or
improved food products, materials and technologies in crop
production, livestock and processing industries, fertilizers
and protection for plants and animals, etc.

Applied technological researches in AIC of
Moldova are developed in the following
directions:

agriculture, land amelioration, water and forestry;

crop and plant protection;

livestock and veterinary medicine;

mechanization, electrification and automation of
production;

storage and processing of agricultural products.
The peculiarities of innovation process in the
AIC of Moldova:

different types of agricultural products and processed products,
significant difference in technologies of their cultivation and
production;

territorial fragmentation of agricultural production and large
differentiation in production conditions;

difference in period of production for certain types of agricultural
products and processed products;

dependence of emerging technologies on natural and weather
conditions;

lack of a clear and evidence-based organizational - economic
mechanism of technology transfer in agricultural sector.
Coordination and implementation of innovation
activity mechanisms in Moldova
Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer (AITT) –
coordinator of innovative and technology transfer activities in
Moldova (2007):






coordinates implementation of technology transfer projects;
organizes competition of innovation and technology transfer
projects for their funding from the state budget;
develops relationship between science and business environment
through the creation of innovation infrastructure (technology
parks and technology incubators), innovative and technology
transfer projects within these structures;
organizes competition for the selection of residents and managers
of science parks and incubators of innovation, contributes to the
promotion of science and innovation results;
identifies innovative solutions for small and medium-sized
enterprises (SMEs);
provides companies access to science and innovation
achievements.

Scientific and technological park “INAGRO” was created
in 2008.
The purpose of its creating - transfer of agricultural
technologies AIC, Moldova



Production capacity:
complex of buildings (15 ha)
agricultural land (92,5 hectares)
scientific-industrial complex branch in district Cahul of
Moldova.
14 residents of the STP “INAGRO” are carrying out
innovative projects in the field of agriculture and food
industry.

stimulation of grapes productivity (improves performance yield with
15-20%).

SORIZ. Group SORIZ can replace rice.
