Functions of the Board
RSAMB was established in 1974, to provide the competitive price to the farmers of
their produce.
Construction of Market Yards and Sub Yards.
Prepare projects and Layout Plan for New Market Yards and Commodity Specific
Markets.
Export promotion of Fruit & Vegetable, Spice Seeds and Medicinal plants.
To promote farmers for Post Harvest Management related works through trainings.
Provide funds to Director, Agriculture Marketing for giving financial assistance to
farmers and agricultural labourers of the State, on account of death or amputation in
the accident while engaged in farming, agricultural marketing related activities.
Publicity of Agricultural Marketing Activities.

Ongoing INCENTIVE Projects Vegetable Export Incentives : Rs. 3.50/Kg or 20% of FOB freight paid which
ever is less maximum Rs. 10 lacs per beneficiary for a period of maximum 3
years.
 Assuring Remunerative Prices : On fall of rates of Horticulture crops, RSAMB
provides 25% subsidy on freight on sale of crops up to a distance of 500 Km,
Maximum Rs 10 lacs for a period of 3 years
 Grading Cleaning and Packing Units : Establishment of
10 units of
Grading,Cleaning and Packing Units in Mandis with a budget provision of Rs.
1000 lacs
 Tripal Distribution : 2000 pcs per annum to Cumin producing farmers with a
subsidy of 50% to SC/ST and 33% to General castes
 Farmers awareness programmes : Exposure to 1195 farmers during 2011-12
with latest technologies in PHM activities through Guest Scientists called for
lectures from state and National Level institutes and taking farmers to visit these
institutes. Exposure in prevention of losses in PHM activities. Agro-Processing.
Agri-Marketing and Export linkages is provided to farmers.

Onion Storage Projects-
Onion Storage Project:
RSAMB has promoted this model project to
preserve and store the onion at Farmers door by
construction of onion storage warehouse.
RSAMB is providing extra Rs 20000 per onion
Warehouse in addition to 50% subsidy provided
by Horticulture Department on construction cost.
