Our History
• It all began in 1988 when an Australian, named Troy Mobbs, started his business venture by joining Mr. Chris Niarchos’ office of Cobra International in
Sydney, Australia in February 1988.
• After spending sometimes at Sydney office, he moved to Brisbane where he broke a new record for the corporation as the first person in Australia that hit
$100,000 sales in a week. Following his success in the Australian market, the corporation offered Mr. Mobbs the opertunity to expand the business into the overseas market.
• In November 1993, he entered Indonesia and opened the Cobra office in
Jakarta. The market response was good and the business flourished. Soon it expanded into other cities such as Surabaya, Semarang, Bandung and Medan in 1994 and Ujung Pandang, Banjarmasin, and Bandar Lampung in 1995. After that the company kept growing with currently more than 200 offices nationwide and a 5,000 commission driven salesforce.
• The company has now expanded to include its own call center facilities, catalogue, online and TV sales.
