Why choose multiprotocol SoC devices
►
►
►
►
Thin Clients have a up to 7 years lifetime
IT infrastructure changes (not stuck in a one
way technology)
Changes in the backend infrastructure can be
handled easily
Always use the best protocol for your requirements
Requirements to the Thin Client change with
company‘s growth
No need to use different types of devices and
management approaches
all devices can be managed through UMS

Evaluation device
Evaluation device (Firmware 1.01.500.01)
►
Available since 29.06.2012
►
Is not for Sale only for evaluation
This firmware has got some limitations which are only applied to
the current evaluation device. During the evaluation phase regular
updates are planned to address these limitations.
►
The final version of the UD2-LX MultiMedia is available at the end of
Q3 or the beginning of Q4 this year.

Usage scenario
►
►
►
Local multimedia playback  full screen HD videos supported
Usage of accelerated protocols:
– Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop
– Microsoft RemoteFX
Fits best where a good user experience is needed, but
– No special driver support required
– Limited connectivity is sufficient (e.g. serial/parallel support)
– No device integrated smartcard reader required
