It can be used in Fire Monitoring applications as a single communications technology, in which case any failure of the communications path shall be annunciated at the supervising station within 5 minutes of the failure, or it can be used as part of a multiple communications technologies (for example in conjunction with a DACT). When used as a back-up provision shall be made to monitor the integrity of each communication path and failure of any communications path shall be annunciated at the supervising station and at the protected premises within not more than 24 hours of the failure. The GS3055-ICF has also been approved by the California State Fire Marshal (CSFM) pursuant to Section 13144.1 of the California Health and Safety Code.
