As such, this school year the LDOE will not be producing value-added data. Instead the Department will produce transitional growth data. •Transitional student growth data provides school leaders and teachers with information about the extent to which students met, exceeded, or fell short of their expected performance on state tests. •It assesses student performance based on students’ unique characteristics, such as prior year achievement or achievement on state tests, attendance, discipline, free/reduced price lunch status, special education status, Section 504 status, limited English proficiency status, and gifted status. In order to share transitional growth data, teachers and school leaders should verify rosters during the next two weeks. Information on how to complete roster verification can be found here. Louisiana Believes 4 Roster Verification • What: Roster verification • Why: Teachers and principals must verify CVR rosters in order to receive accurate transitional student growth data • When: Deadline is May 16th • Who: A principal at every school and teachers of the following grades and subjects will need to verify rosters: • 3rd grade: ELA and Mathematics • 4th-8th grade: ELA, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies • Up to 9th grade: Algebra I EOC course • Up to 10th grade: Geometry EOC course • How: Principals and teachers can verify CVR rosters by logging into CVR.
