The Need
–Personal security is a key element in
people’s definition for quality of life
–A top issue electorates demand to be
improved
–Current failure in dealing with
violence is due to:
• Little
prevention (mostly after event intervention)
• No integration of means and tools (e.g. welfare, police,
education domains try to address violence independently)
• Mistaken educational concepts (e.g. loss of adult authority)
–Coping and reducing of violence saves
money (ROI - Return On Investment)
