Do parents really know what is happening in Utah schools?

• No times tables, long division, division by fractions
• IE. no future in math
• 20% failure rate on UBSCT
• UVU has Remedial Math Dept.
• "It's time to recognize that, for many students, real mathematical power, on the one hand, and facility with multidigit, pencil-and-paper computational algorithms, on the other, are mutually exclusive. In fact, it's time to acknowledge that continuing to teach these skills to our students is not only unnecessary, but counterproductive and downright dangerous.“-Steven Leinwand 1994, NSF Expert Panel

Bill Meyers, who believes Founding Fathers were predatory elitists only out for wealth and gain and they created the Constitution to give themselves power. We started out originally as a Republic but since the Constitution was such a terrible idea, people have been trying to change our nation into a democracy for two centuries. http://www.williampmeyers.org/republic.html

Viral email to wake up community, over 200 parents at next board meeting, they call us 'special interest group' that they won't bow down to
Because there are two completely different purposes for education and parents are starting to figure that out.
Founding Fathers
• To have a well-informed citizenry
• To know and protect our God-given rights
• To teach religion
• To teach morality
• To ensure freedom
• To resist tyranny
• Localized control to keep it out of the hands of the federal government
Marxists/Communists/Socialists
• To perpetuate tyrannical government
• To produce non-thinking workers and followers
• To teach atheism
• To encourage immorality
• To take a child away from its parents as soon as possible so it belongs to the state
• Federally controlled and financed
From Cleon Skousen's "The Naked Communist"
17. Get control of the schools . Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current
Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum.
Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers .
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture-- education , social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions . (NEA-Endorses Alinsky)
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents.
Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
4 Steps to Communist Takeover of a
Country
• Demoralization - 15-20 years
• Process of making a country immoral so they no longer believe truth when it is presented to them
• Destabilization - 2-5 years
• Create conditions where tipping points can occur
• Crisis - 6 weeks
• Tipping points to seize power
• Normalization
• Success – Government Control
Communist Manifesto
10. Free education for all children in government schools ...
Ezra Taft Benson
"There were several reasons why Marx wanted government to run the schools.…one of them...that if every party in the State has the right of excluding from public schools whatever he does not believe to be true, then he that believes most must give way to him that believes least...’
“It is self-evident that on this scheme, if it is consistently and persistently carried out in all parts of the country, the United States system of national popular education will be the most efficient and widespread instrument for the propagation of atheism which the world has ever seen.” (Conference Report,
October 1970.)
• Developed compulsory schooling model.
• “What the church has been for medieval man, the public school must become for democratic and rational man. God will be replaced by the concept of the public good.
The common (public) schools shall create a more far-seeing intelligence and a pure morality than has ever existed among communities of
men.”

• “FOURTEENTH: The humanists are firmly convinced that existing acquisitive and profit-motivated society has shown itself to be inadequate and that a radical change in methods, controls, and motives must be instituted.
A socialized and cooperative economic order must be established to the end that the equitable distribution of the means of life be possible.
The goal of humanism is a free and universal society in which people voluntarily and intelligently cooperate for the common good. Humanists demand a shared life in a shared world....”

• “ How do we reach youth ; what kinds of struggles do we build; how do we make a revolution - What we have tried to lay out so far is the political content of the consciousness which we want to extend and develop as a mass consciousness: the necessity to build our power as part of the whole international revolution to smash the state power of the imperialists and build socialism .

They have no ‘natural right’ to control their education fully.”
“ Most youth still hold the same values of their parents…if we do not alter
this pattern, if we don’t resocialize, our system will decay.”
“A standardized curriculum of basic skills such as reading, writing and arithmetic cannot prepare people to participate in a democracy. Enlightened social engineering is required to face situations that demand global action now.”

" Education should aim at destroying free will so that after pupils are thus schooled they will be incapable throughout the rest of their lives of thinking or acting otherwise than as their school
masters would have wished ...
"
Bertrand Russell quoting Johann Gottlieb Fichte, the head of philosophy & psychology who influenced Hegel and others –
Prussian University in Berlin, 1810
“This is the idea where we drop subject matter and we drop
Carnegie Unites (grading from A-F) and we just let students find their way, keeping them in school until they manifest the
politically correct attitudes. You see, one of the effects of selfesteem (Values Clarification) programs is that you are no longer obliged to tell the truth if you don’t feel like it. You don’t have to tell the truth because if the truth you have to tell is about your own failure then your self-esteem will go down and that is unthinkable.”-
Dr. William Coulson, explaining Outcome Based Education (OBE)-
1964
" …a student attains ‘higher order thinking’ when he no longer
believes in right or wrong. A large part of what we call good teaching is a teacher´s ability to obtain affective objectives by challenging the student’s fixed beliefs. …a large part of what we call teaching is that the teacher should be able to use education to reorganize a child’s thoughts, attitudes, and feelings.
"
Benjamin Bloom, psychologist and educational theorist, in “Major
Categories in the Taxonomy of Educational Objectives”, p. 185,
1956
"Every child in America entering school at the age of five is insane because he comes to school with certain allegiances to our founding fathers, toward our elected officials, toward his parents, toward a belief in a supernatural being, and toward the sovereignty of this nation as a separate entity. It’s up to you as teachers to make all these sick children well – by creating the international
child of the future."
Dr. Chester M. Pierce, Harvard Professor of Education and
Psychiatry, address to the Childhood International Education
Seminar, 1973
C.S. Lewis in “Screwtape Proposes a Toast” (a satire on American education)
“ Democracy is the word with which you must lead them by the nose….
[T]hey should never be allowed to give this word a clear and definable meaning...whether “democratic behaviour” means the behaviour that democracies like or the behaviour that will preserve a democracy. For if they did, it could hardly fail to occur to them that these need not be the same ...As an English politician remarked not long ago, “A democracy does not want great men.”
Democracy is indispensable to socialism. Vladimir Lenin
Democracy is the road to socialism. Karl Marx

*Other examples to watch out for in schools: Gay, Tolerant, Safe Schools,
Morals, Values, Critical Thinking
*(All are defined very differently by Progressive education elites than what parents assume they traditionally mean. This is a way Progressive programs slip into schools without parents knowing.)
Alpine School District:
“Thus, the task of readying the young for democratic life is the business of all educators. Along with our social studies and history teachers, others must incorporate this objective into their curriculum. Math teachers must help students gain a respect for inductive proof and certainty in argumentation.
The music teachers could help students gain a sense of responsibility to the
group and playing in harmony with other citizens. Our English teachers should teach the responsibilities of expression and choice. Of course, our administrators ought to help students understand that a democratic society cannot survive without respect for rules, law, and order. Every teacher should have this major board objective in mind as he/she prepares the curriculum.
Parents, too, ought to incorporate these objectives into their family’s environment .”
• If there is no God, there are no absolutes so everything becomes relative. We
“democratically” arrive at a consensus based on the majority in areas of:
• Knowledge, Morals, Patriotism
• Constructivist Math
• Dumbed-down math (no times tables, long division, weak homework)
• Group work / strategies
• De-emphasize results – Emphasize process
• Common Core math standards - national standards → national tests → national curriculum → teachers’ salaries tied to students’ test scores → teachers teaching to the test each and every day → national indoctrination of our public school children → national database
• 100% of Utah state income taxes and 56% of property taxes go to fund education
• 9% of our school money comes from the Federal government which gives them 100% control.
Now we see why:
• Parents' concerns fall on deaf ears
• Failed programs are allowed to continue
• Academics, Constitution, morality and religion are not being taught
• Global progressive political programs are pushed
Until parents and teachers wake up to the truth that the federally-funded public schools have been taken over by people who want to use schools for indoctrination centers to change America instead of to keep America educated, moral and religious, and we DO something about it, this cycle will continue.
Legislative
• Partisan board elections-School board elections are the most important elections in the country because the rising generation determines the future of the country
• Backpack funding (money follows the child)
• Give school community councils more power and authority to function like a school board
• Adopt Texas history standards
• Solid K-8 math curriculum (Singapore or Saxon math)
Home and Community
• Turn the populace to God - reinvigorate morality to reverse demoralization
• Know your board member and other representatives
• Know what is going on in your child's classroom. Watch for troubling homework
