The resort is sited on a sprawling 50 acres of scenic, pollution free land with a lake on one side and a hill on the other. It is slightly elevated and has River Kundalika flowing close to it. But since the camp is far from any pollutions & habitation, mornings & evenings are cooler. Care is taken to schedule activities under trees or indoors when the sun is bright. The children specific menu does not only cater for their taste but is also planned well in terms of balanced nutritional value, weather conditions and variety. Cool, filtered drinking water is available at all activity areas in abundance. A good pair of sports shoes (preferably not brand new) is essential with 4-5 pairs of cotton socks. Floaters are preferred during water based activities Please send sunscreen, as children will be out in the sun. It is also available in our tuck shop. We do have a tuck shop where items of daily use are available. Cotton shorts, or capris or track pants are advised during trekking or other outbound activities. Please cater for enough change. This information should be furnished so that we take care of this aspect. One Torch with cells with spare set of cells (No pencil torches). Avoid sending valuables. We discourage use of electronics during the camp. However what the children carry is purely at their own risk and they will be responsible for their safe custody. We are particular about safety and security. Children must be told to follow such instructions. Please restrict money to about Rs 500. He/she may require it for soft drinks, purchases of essential items at the tuck shop or for making telephone calls. Please send soft luggage and as far as possible avoid hard suitcases. Please send the water bottles with the children & also something to eat during the journey, as they will reach the camp site late for breakfast. His training experience ranges from grass root level of training recruits to the macro level exposure in ARTRAC where he was involved in formulating training policies and doctrines for the Indian Army. As Chairman Army School Bareilly, he got the inspiration from students to divert his attention to Value Education. He did his B Ed in 2003 and an Education Leadership Programme in 2005. He is a member of ASCD and AEE (Association of Experiential Education). Sushil represents India in the international Council for Self-esteem. He is a founder member of SSSCI (Special Sports Schools Council of India). Mr Anil Bhasin Anil Bhasin has served Air India for 36 years. A post graduate in Specialzed Hotel Management, he has a long and varied experience in travel and human relations. He has travelled extensively around the world, having visited over 35 countries. He was conferred the Best Employee award for his dedication and contribution to Air India. He has also attended a marketing workshop conducted by Boeing. He is now MD at Empower Activity Camps Col Naval Kohli has served the Indian Army for 24 years. He has rich experience in human resource development and has specialised in the field of training. He has held instructional tenures and has commanded various logistics units. He has also served in Somalia under the aegis of UNITED NATIONS PEACE KEEPING FORCE and has been awarded a French Army medal for distinguished service. Neelu Grover is a certified trainer for a wide range of courses for child and youth development. Her speciality lies in creative thinking and life skills. Her special interests include TRACE and ASSET. She has over 12 years of experience working with children.
