Daily Routines
•Communication: Diary/Email
•Coming to school prepared (stationery)
•Borrowing Books: Library (2-5 books)
•Home reading record
•Uniform/Wearing PE Kit
•Healthy snacks and lunches.
Homework
Homework will start on Monday 2nd September. This will be given out
every 2 weeks in the form of a grid. It needs to be returned on the
following Wednesday 11th September.
Links for computer games and research can be found on ‘The Buzz’.
The tasks on the grid will include:
-Reading: 15-20 minutes/daily
-Literacy: spelling activities
-An inquiry related task
-Maths related to current focus
SUPPORTING YOUR
CHILD AT HOME
•Provide a suitable place and time where homework
needs to be done
•Any problems regarding homework, please ask your
child to inform us and we can go through it with them
•Organise playdates and outdoor activities
•Begin to prepare your child for independence for
camp
E.g. sleepovers, daily routines

HOW WE ORGANISE OURSELVES
There are many systems in the production, supply and distribution of
food
FOOD (SNACK AND LUNCHES)
Please provide your child with a healthy, nutritious snack
and lunch. We encourage children not to share their food.
Food Allergies: NO NUTS -Please be aware that we have
students in the school with severe, life threatening
allergies to nuts.
If your child does have a severe allergy, please ensure that
you have informed the school in writing.

Reporting to Parents
•Completed sections of reports can be accessed
throughout the year (eg UOI Comments)
•Maths and English will be reported on at the end of each
term on Gateway
•End of year reports can be downloaded as a PDF document
and printed off by parents - the school will not be sending
home a hard copy of the report this year
•Parent/Teacher consultations (Oct/Nov) - booking
appointments will be online through Gateway
