

General Aims

That our children and young people will
grow in their knowledge and love of God
and experience Christ in a personal way.

The church body will have an increasing
awareness of how they can respond to and
serve the local community beyond the
church family

Members of the church will be encouraged
in their faith and have a greater desire to
serve God.

To enhance pastoral care over the wider

Actions:

Form and train a lay Pastoral Visiting Team to
compliment the pastoral work of the clergy.

to address e.g. following up families who
have had a child baptized recently and
inviting the parents to church or other
activities, or visit those who have stopped

To enhance congregational involvement at
worship services including youth
involvement and to improve the quality
of worship at all services

 Facilitate more youth participation at the
9.45, 11.30 and 7pm services.
Participation could include praying,
reading, speaking, personal testimony and
music.

Introduce more creativity and variety in
the services. This might include having
more visiting speakers.

Objective 1

To engage, support and connect adult
parent/carer attendees at our weekly PreSchool Praise (PSP) morning with the
Christian life of the church.

To establish a team or equip current staff with
suitable training to provide informal listening and
prayer for attendees, with signposting to other
professional services where appropriate.

To address needs of attendees by inter alia
holding a series of c. four information evenings
over the course of the year on topics relevant
and helpful to those attending PSP (e.g. family
and parenting, marriage and relationships,
special needs).

To establish greater contact with the church
family through transition to Sunday morning
MiniZone, and through promoting relevant
church events at PSP.


To address the immediate needs of the
poorest in our community by developing the
existing support (weekly donations received)
for Storehouse North Down, particularly to
provide emergency supplies to households in
Holywood.


donations, collate goods and prepare
hampers for recipient households

To establish a smaller team (for continuity) to
deliver hampers directly to recipient
households within the Holywood area to
assist the current distributors.

partner churches in Holywood and third
party organizations e.g. CAP, to provide a
series of information evenings addressing key
needs of recipient households as already
identified by Storehouse managers: inc.

To train and equip the church body to pray
for those outside the church and to provide
prayer outside the church.

To provide all church members with basic
training through teaching, study, fellowship group
resources in prayer ministry and use of the gifts
of the Holy Spirit as essential tools for building
the kingdom and church and blessing the
community.

To identify and establish a place of prayer
outside the church grounds where prayer is
offered freely to members of the public by a
trained prayer ministry team.

 To strengthen the Minizone and Kidzone
Leaders Team through opportunities for
fellowship and training.
 To train and disciple the younger
volunteers
 To take advantage of externally oraganised
training opportunities for Minizone and
Kidzone leaders and volunteers.


 Two meetings to be arranged per term
for Team fellowship and training

researched and leaders and volunteers
informed and encouraged to attend.

 b) To give parents a flavor of the teaching

 c) To encourage PSP parents to start coming
to the Family Service and involve their

the children transitioning in the Kids’
Programme. Invite parents, including the
PSP parents and children.
