Tejas Badgujar is a 6 th grade student at Vickery Creek Middle
School.
He has been qualified to compete at State level of the
National Geographic Bee.
Tejas won the school bee in
January, and then took a written test to qualify for the state-level competition. Tejas is one of top 100 scorers.
Dhruv is a Senior at Alpharetta High
School and will be heading to Georgia
Tech University to study Chemical
Engineering.
He has been selected for Governor's
Honors program for Chemistry.

He has participated in YMCA's program for Homeless and Orphanages. He conducts martial art classes in church for students who cannot afford classes.

Aditya was selected to play clarinet in the District Honor Band .
Aditya acheived over 95 percentile in
SAT Math and has qualified for the
Grand Recognition Ceremany through the Talent Identification Program at
Duke University.
Preity a 4 th grader , is a National winner of the Constituting
America Art contest. The topic was "What does the
Constitution mean to you?" Preity was awarded a prize which consisted of a trophy, a certificate, and a $100 gift card in the fall of 2012.
Avani Dhuri is in 4 th grade at Camp Creek Elementary,
Lilburn.
Avani was recognized from National
Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) for maintaining academic excellence above 95% (outstanding scholarship), responsibility and committment to excellence in leadership and service.
Avani with her brilliant performance won divisional championship for
Readers Rally Competition. She got a chance to represent her school in
Final Four at GCPS TV broacasting center on Thursday March 21, 2013.
Avani was also selected for State
Level Reflection program for her own choreographed 3 minute performance which was based on her
Bharat Natyam education.
Sarth has been selected in the top 10 students who will be representing
Georgia in the AGLOA (Academic
Games Leagues of America) national championship tournament in
Charlotte,NC.

2013 proclaiming September of each year as a Thrombosis Awareness

Animesh Koratana participated in the
Georgia Science and Engineering
Fairs held at UGA, Athens. He presented his project in the
"Environmental Control" Category in
Juniors Division. He earned the Best in Category award medal at the State level.
Animesh Koratana is swimming at
State Level. He broke the Dynamo record for 50 Meters Breast stroke event swimming in 29:85 seconds at the age of 12. This record was broken at the 2012 Eastern Classic Southern
Swimming Championships.

Pooja Mayur will be going to
University of Miami’s accelerated program in Medicine.
Pooja Mayur will be going to University of
Miami’s 7 year accelerated program in medicine in August. She has received
University of Miami’s President’s scholarship, Gables scholarship and is also accepted into their Foote Fellows program.
Previously in summer she was selected for the Governor’s honors program where she attended as a Spanish major and dance minor. She is the President of the Dance team and the FBLA club at her school. She is on the Principal’s list in her high school, received the teacher’s choice award in
Spanish and 2 varsity letters in swimming.
She won the PTA Reflections contest at the County level twice and also placed
6 th in a FBLA competition at the state level.

Association or the GMEA. Ritwik played 2 instruments, the Alto sax and the Bari sax when he first appeared for the All State audition in
December. Another round of audition in January ensured Ritwik making it to All State Band as first chair for Bari Sax .

Aditya was an undergrad from
Cleveland State University with a 4.0
GPA thru out and Research scholorship all the way for his Grad school. His research was focused on characteristics of helium 4 at
Cryogenic temperatures close to absolute zero. He has decided to work in Intel at their R&D facility in
Portland Oregon from this summer .
During the summer in 2012, Amruta spent 10 weeks as a full-time volunteer with Sewa Sahayog and Surajya (NGO) in Pune, Maharashtra, India. Amruta’s primary project was “Developing Tools and Approaches to Teach Science in
Rural Schools.” Amruta worked as a part of Sewa
Sahayog’s projects, Samutkarsha which works directly in vastis (slums) in Pune.
Amruta designed and taught science projects utilizing a handbook that she single handedly developed. The session starts off with basic science concepts through discussion, interactive learning and through a hands-on experiment using materials that are found in slums so that kids can see how science is all around them.
Amruta is a 3rd year student at Georgia Tech studying Psychology. She has been involved with various non-profit organizations including Hindu
Swayamsevak Sangh, Sewa International, Vibha,
Emerging Leaders, Maharashtra Mandal of Atlanta, and volunteering at local events.
Amruta also worked in a vasti in Yerwada, Pune through
Surajya organization. Amruta’s primary objective was to provide the girls with basic martial arts training so they had the ability to defend themselves in any unsafe situations.
Amruta has collected significant funding to help build a hostel for women who have been left behind or kicked out of home.
