LATE START WEDNESDAYALL schools start 30 minutes later on
Wednesday to allow for professional
development for teachers without extending
the school year.
School Hours
Starting with the 2013-14 school year, Waynesville R-VI students
will only be allowed to miss 5 (five) days each semester. This
policy change is necessary due to the change in attendance
requirements for accreditation established by the State of
Missouri.
Accreditation status shows that a school district is meeting state
performance standards. To be fully accredited, the state requires
90 percent of the students to be at school 90 percent of the time.
In addition, a district must ensure continuous improvement and
innovation to increase student achievement and prepare students
for success in college and careers.
To help you plan your upcoming vacations and family visits, please
consult the district calendar for 2013-14 at
http://waynesville.k12.mo.us/district/school_year_calendar/
