Your Platinum Wick® won't light or stay lit.
• Make sure Lampe is at least ½ full of Scentier™ Lampe Parfum.
•Prior to lighting make sure Cut Off Cap was on Lampe preventing
weakening and evaporation.
•You have allowed the dry cotton wick to soak for at least 5 minutes.
•You keep the lighter flame on the wick until screen glows.
•Do not hold lighter flame on wick assembly for longer than 1 minute.
•You have waited for the wick to heat up, for at least 1 minute, before
re-lighting.
•Make sure your lighter has a robust flame. Do not use matches.
•Make sure you are not operating Lampe in front of a fan or draft.
•It may be time to replace your cotton wick or clean wick assembly.
LAMPE CARE:
Keep the Lampe covered, with the Cut Off Cap, to avoid evaporation and
weakening fragrance when not in use.
Avoid letting your Lampe run out of Parfum. This will cause the tip of the cloth
wick to dry out and char possibly preventing the Platinum Wick® from
lighting.
Change the cloth wick when fragrance strength weakens or if the Platinum
Wick® becomes difficult to light.
The Platinum Wick® can be cleaned by soaking the entire wick assembly in
rubbing alcohol or our Neutralizer product for 10-15 minutes.
We recommend diffusing a Lampe full of Neutralizer after every 10-12
fragrance uses to keep Platinum Wick® clean and your fragrance quality pure.
Do not trim the cloth wick. If it is too short the Platinum Wick® will not light.

Since biblical times we have been lifting up fragrant offerings. The quest for the perfect diffuser began with
the discovery of precious extracts from plants which could be blended into medicinal essential oils, incense,
potpourri, and luxury personal perfumes.

(a) Except as provided in Sections 94510 (Exemptions), 94511 (Innovative
Products), 94514 (Variances), 94540 through 94555 (Alternative Control Plan),
and 94567(a)(1) (Hairspray Credit Program), Title 17, California Code of
Regulations, no person shall sell, supply, offer for sale, or manufacture
for sale in California any consumer product which, at the time of sale
or manufacture, contains volatile organic compounds in excess of the
limits specified in the following Table of Standards after the specified effective
dates.
(b) According to the United State Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA Rule 40 CFR Part 59)
and the California Air Resources Board (Title
17, CA Health & Safety Code, Sec. 94507-94517)
catalytic lamp fuel is classified as a liquid air
freshener and can contain at most 18% VOC’s
(volatile organic compounds). All catalytic lamp
fragrance, except ours, contains a minimum of
89% alcohol. Alcohol is a VOC. This makes all
other lamp fragrances illegal to sell.
The catalytic delivery system has one more marketing benefit
that definitely tips the scale in its favor but is not on our chart.
That benefit historically has been the claim that the stone burner
oxygenates the air, kills odors and kills bacteria. We know it has
nothing to do with the “magic” stone burner but more likely with
the alcohol in the fragrance. However we cannot substantiate
that the old formula kills bacteria.
We currently do not make that this claim however we can say
Scentier Lamp Fragrance eliminates odors and purifies
the air. It’s on the back of our fragrance bottle and we have
testimonials to prove it!

Why have most people never heard of the 100 year old lead item in the home fragrance
