This public state company provides water services to the population of the state of Querétaro in Mexico and the
main goals are:
 To ensure quality drinking water service to the users
 To enlarge wastewater sanitation and promote treated water reuse and exchange
 To improve efficiency levels
 To provide with running water by 2015, to the population that lacks this service in the State of Querétaro.
The Sanitation Division is in charge of engineering, building and operating the wastewater treatment plants of all
municipalities in the state of Queretaro.
27 wastewater treatment plants for different locations, mostly rural (20 – 10 liters per second) are scheduled to be
built with a deadline in December 2012. CEA‘s interest in the implemented technology in treatment plants is that
they have a lower operating cost.
In the period from 2013 to 2015 we have estimated to build 20 additional wastewater treatment plants (5 – 10 liters
per second) within the State.
