Dysfunction in these circuits leads to characteristic biological, psychological, social, and spiritual manifestations. This circuitry and resultant manifestations lead to the individual pursuing reward and/or relief by substance use and other behaviors. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! 20 You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Proverbs 23:7 Romans 12 : 1-2 I therefore urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercies, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices that are holy and pleasing to God, for this is the your spiritual act of worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but continually be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you may be able to determine what God's will iswhat is proper, pleasing, and perfect. 1 Peter 1:13-15 Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep a clear head, and set your hope completely on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct. 2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ There is a strategy to transform! • • • • The Holy Spirit is perfect, We are not New creation, but no brain transplant.
