“Seek our Advice” Program Presented by: Dr. Jamila Suliman Khanji Advisor, Research and Studies 2 Introduction to the Family Development Foundation On the 10th May, the Family Development Foundation (FDF) was established by virtue of law no.11/2006 issued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may Allah save him. By operation of this law, the FDF replaced the branches, offices and clubs of Abu Dhabi Women Association. The FDF is a non-profit organization that has an independent legal personality, with full legal competence, as well as financial and administrative independence. It offers consultations in a scientific, methodological and organized way, with specialists in the following fields: family, education, marriage, social, psychological, health, professional, development, Sharia, legal, and financial.(MDGs 2,3,4 and 5) 11 Logo “Seek our Advice” is one of the key service provided by the foundation. As such, its logo was inspired by the FDF logo. In the design, gold symbolizes quality and service excellence, while blue refers to confidence and security. Location The program will be implemented in the centers of the Family Development Foundation. 12 Types of Advice and Duration • Desk Advice (45mins) – You can visit one of the FDF centers in the central, western and eastern regions by appointment. • Telephonic Advice (30mins) – An appointment can be made with the centers through their contract numbers mentioned below. • Electronic Advice – Take advice in the fields mentioned above by sending your concerns to shawer@fdf.ae 13 14 This project had been designed and implemented with cooperation with our strategic partners from the private and nonprofit organizations, (MDG 8), and aims at: • Promote family stability. • Increase awareness among individuals in dealing with their problems. • Develop awareness of children’s characters and psychological makeup according to age. 15 Continue : • Help couples understand each other and live in harmony. • Support the correct methods inn teaching discipline to children. • Orient individuals toward a better understanding of their financial resources. 16 Child problems I have a mentally disabled child.
