The “galvanic current" used today for cosmetic and
health benefits is named after the Italian scientist,
Luigi Galvani who, in 1791, discovered that the body
conducts electric currents.
What is a Galvanic Treatment?
For several decades, spa and salon

currents in customized treatments to refresh

require a trained esthetician who uses a large
machine with a roller that provides a gentle

Galvanic treatments use the basic principles that
like charges repel each other and opposites
attract – similar to magnetic poles.
Products are formulated to contain key

same charge as the product. The repelling of like
charges “pushes” the product into the skin
facilitating the delivery of key ingredients.

return to the instrument. People with less conductive skin will get three beeps.
People with more conductive skin will get a level two or one depending on their skin
