Conducting risk analysis workshops in the framework of emergency planning at the local level 9 PROGRESS Research concerning analysis national legislation and guidelines in the field of risk management and civil planning Research concerning analysis national and international standards in the field of risk management Research concerning analysis method of risk assessment using in other countries Preparing questionanaire of survey concerning needs of participants of crisis management in the field of risk assessment for preparing planning documents on different levels of administration 10 EXPECTED RESULTS The result of this project will be prototype of IT tool supporting the work on the risk analysis based on technical documentation prepared in the project At this stage, the CNBOP-PIB task is to prepare guidelines for units of local government and government administration in the field of risk identification and risk analysis 11 EMERGENT Project title: Emergency Management in Social Media Generation Financed by the Seventh Framework Programme (7FP) Leader – University of Paderborn [UPB] Project was elected for funding by the EC and is under negotiations. The Scientific and Research Centre for Fire Protection – National Research Institute is a member of the consortium 12 OBJECTIVES OF EMERGENT The assumptions of the project is understanding the positive and the negative impact of social media in emergencies in order to: enhance objective and perceived safety and security of citizens before, during and after emergencies strengthen the role of European companies dealing with services and products related to the aimed research and development results 13 OBJECTIVES OF EMERGENT Furthermore Emergent will: examine the role played by current mainstream social media in emergencies and assess their impact provide with assistance to exchange emergency-relevant information across borders give possibilities for citizens to report on incidents and to discuss them 14 EXPECTED RESULTS 15
