Sufficient know-how – Key actors from all regions will be trained in Finland – Training continues at all areas and is supported by experts from Finland and other areas with already activities and expertise in RES-Heat, transfer from team member training to training of local experts 5 EURES n:o EIE/04/086/S07.38582 4 Activities • WP.3. Right technical solutions – Feasibility studies have been completed and the work continues with more detailed case studies – Technical and economical suitability is confirmed by case studies and demonstrations – Demostrations have been carried out and even the main demonstration phase is ahead, first investment decisions based on project recommendations are expected soon 5 EURES n:o EIE/04/086/S07.38582 5 Activities • WP.4.Right business solutions – Right business solutions will be developed for the areas based on the findings during the study and demonstration period – Established and well known business models will be used as base but the models will be fitted to the special requirements of each region – Models may include e.g. fuel supply, harvesting, heat entrepreneur, plant operator etc. models 5 EURES n:o EIE/04/086/S07.38582 6 Activities • WP-5.Dissemination – Dissemination will be carried out within the regions during the project, specially during demonstration phase – Results will be disseminated nationally at each country and in iternational events – Final conclusions will be disseminated EU wide in selected conferences, papers and at project website 5 EURES n:o EIE/04/086/S07.38582 7 Expected results • Five functioning RES-heat market areas which serve as practical examples for surrounding regions • The areas serve as development bench for priming practical operations • In Lithuania the project have assisted to set up full scale fuel delivery chain for 60 MW biomass CHP plant, 150 persons, 20 SME´s involved • In Catlonia project has demonstrated full chain from forest to heat customer and the heating plant is in operation • New plants in Germany and development of fuel supply chain, demonstration of new tehnology • 20 Business plans or start-ups of new businesses in RES-Heat, five business plans completed and 17 under development 5 EURES n:o EIE/04/086/S07.38582 8 Coordinatior: Jyväskylä Innovation Oy PO Box 27,Fin 40101,tel. +358 14 4451100,fax +358 14 4451100 • • • • • • • • • • • • Partners: Finnish Forest Research Institute,Finland VTT Processes,Finland North Karelia Polytechnic,Finland Jyväskylä Polytechnic,Finland Finpro Association,Finland Cebra,Germany Directorate General of Natural Environment, Spain Forest Owners Association of Lithuania, Lithuania Bionovus, Lithuania Instituto Superior Técnico,Portugal IrRadiare,Portugal 5 EURES n:o EIE/04/086/S07.38582 9 Project website • www.5eures.eu.com 5 EURES n:o EIE/04/086/S07.38582 10
