MARIO CERA
Mario Cera was awarded a degree in law at the Università degli Studi in Pavia. He is Professor of
Commercial Law in the Law Department at the Università degli Studi in Pavia. He practices law from
his law firm in Milan, specialising in commercial and banking law. He has occupied numerous positions
on Boards of Directors and Corporate Bodies mainly in the field of finance including the following:
Banca Regionale Europea, Banca del Monte di Lombardia, Banca Lombarda, Verona Assicurazioni,
Cassa di Risparmio di Tortona and Italmobiliare. He has also been a Member of the Management Board
of UBI Banca, Chairman of Banca Popolare Commercio e Industria and Chairman of IW Bank.
He is currently Senior Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of UBI Banca; he also carries out
various activities in the field of universities and is Chairman of the Museo Poldi Pezzoli Foundation in
Milan.
