their synagogues preaching the Good News.
• 2. MK.1/14-15- Announces the Kingdom, “The time
has come, the KG of God is near, Repent and be
converted.”

Kerygma. I must preach the Good News
of the Kingdom of God to the other towns
also, because that is why I was sent
The Style of preaching is
through PARABLES.
• Many literary forms, Symbolic Actions.
Allegory and hyperbole.
• The Kingdom is not reduced to the Land of
Israel. Not territorial. But lies in the
SALVIFIC ACTION OF GOD, IE. REIGN
OF GOD.
• There is a Response of Faith.
CONVERSION AND OBEDIENCE TO
THE LOVING GOD.
The Style of preaching is through PARABLES.
• Kingdom is mentioned 162 times in the
Synoptics.
• In John alone the word is mentioned 92 times .
• Kingdom is not a concept bound by space and
time. But bound by the SOVEREIGNTY OF
GOD OVER THE PEOPLE who establishes the
ideal rule of the Reign of God.
• Different aspects of the Kingdom are explained
through PARABLES.
