• Because the old bases were wood and rotted
out it was determined to make the new bases
out of concrete.
• Alterations carpenters using special materials
were able to create an extraordinary re-usable
curved concrete form.
• Outside masons then poured and finished the
bases.
• These new bases will be painted white when
totally cured.
• The new bases will last for the next 50 years
